Day 7: Wrocław city tour - prague This morning enjoy a Wrocław City Tour featuring a visit to the Raclawice Panorama, a monumental cycloramic painting depicting the Battle of Raclawice during the Kosciuszko Uprising. Continue with a guided tour of the city, known for its Market Square, one of the most beautiful squares in Poland. Enjoy lunch on your own and later depart for Prague. Arrive in Prague for a two night stay in the capital city of Czechia which lies in the heart of Central Europe. Tourism has played an important role in its economic development, transforming run-down buildings into fine restaurants & bars, stylish hotels and vibrant shops. This evening enjoy a fun-filled cultural experience at a Prague Folklore Dinner Show. (B,D) Day 8: prague city tour Today, experience Prague, one of the most beautiful cities of Europe. Enjoy a Prague City Tour and visit the Prague Castle, dating from the 9th century. At the castle complex explore the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace, St. George Basilica and the Golden Lane. The castle has been a seat of power for Kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman Emperors and Presidents of Czechoslovakia. Continue across the Vltava River on foot via the famous and historic Charles Bridge, which dates back to 1357. Visit the Old Town Square to see the medieval Astronomical Clock installed in 1410. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy this magnificent city. (B) Day 9: prague - DRESDEN - BERLIN This morning, travel north to Dresden, Germany, the ‘Florence on the Elbe’. Upon arrival enjoy a Dresden City Tour to learn about the city’s restoration following its devastation during World War II as you admire its beautiful Baroque facades. See the Semper Opera, Zwinger Palace and the Frauenkirche, a church destroyed at the end of WWII by Allied firebombing and completely rebuilt between 1994-2005. Also walk past the “The Procession of the Princes,” a 335-foot mural. Later travel to Berlin for a two night stay and enjoy dinner on your own. (B) Day 10: berlin city tour Today enjoy a full day Berlin City Tour with a local guide. Explore this wonderful city whose once-turbulent history has shaped its rebirth as a charismatic capital city. Visit iconic landmarks of unified Berlin including Checkpoint Charlie, the Holocaust Memorial and the Brandenburg Gate. See the colorful East Side Gallery, the Neo-Renaissance Reichstag and drive through the green Tiergarten. Also see Museum Island, the Old Town (Stadtvierteland) and travel along the Ku-Damm past Memorial Church. (B,D) Day 11: Berlin - FLIGHT HOME Transfer to the Berlin Airport for your flight home filled with wonderful memories of your experiences in Central Europe. Day 2: ARRIVE IN warsaw, poland Welcome to Poland! Upon arrival in Warsaw, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. This vibrant capital is divided in two by the Vistula River and is the largest city in Poland. Beloved for its cutting-edge architecture, burgeoning art scene and fascinating history, millions visit the city every year. This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. (D) Day 3: warsaw sightseeing This morning enjoy a Warsaw City Tour to see the Palace of Culture, visit the Ghetto Memorial and the Historical Museum to learn about Warsaw before, during and after WWII. Then walk through Warsaw’s Old Town, entirely rebuilt since WWII. Later see medieval fortifications, the Market Square, the Warsaw Cathedral, the Royal Palace Plaza and drive along the royal route to Lazienki Park to see the Chopin Monument. The evening is at your own pace. (B) Day 4: Warsaw - Częstochowa - krakow Today travel south through Poland to Czestochowa. Visit the Jasna Gora Monastery to see the Black Madonna of Czestochowa, the famous painting of the Virgin Mary. The site is a national historic monument and is the most famous Polish shrine to the Virgin Mary, and the country’s greatest place of pilgrimage. Later arrive in the culture rich and beautiful city of Krakow for a two night stay. This breathtaking city is the second largest in Poland, full of history, stunning architecture and friendly people. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers in Krakow. (B,D) Day 5: krakow sightseeing Today enjoy a Krakow City Tour to see the Jewish Quarter, Ghetto Square, the Oscar Schindler Factory, Wawel Hill to see the Renaissance Castle and the Cathedral, former seat of Pope John Paul II. Later visit the magnificent Krakow Market Square, one of Europe’s largest medieval squares. Visit St. Mary’s Basilica before enjoying time at leisure for lunch. This afternoon travel to the nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine, Europe’s oldest salt mine and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The mines are a unique place where generations of Polish miners have created a world of underground chambers and decorated chapels carved out of salt. Return to Krakow to enjoy the evening on your own. (B) Day 6: krakow - Auschwitz - Wrocław This morning travel to Auschwitz and learn more about the former concentration camp as a local guide takes you through this somber historic complex. Then travel to Wrocław, a culturally diverse city, having absorbed Bohemian, Austrian and Prussian influences. Today, Wrocław flourishes with scenic waterways, attractive buildings, bridges and parks. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay and enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers.
